You of the beautiful smile and wide eyes, perfect in beauty—how I wish you would come to me.

Seeing you makes me forget my worries and pain. You are the joy of my past and of the years still to come.

When I glimpse you, I welcome you at once. When you are away, my longing and yearning grow.

My beloved, I am always greedy for more of your love. Every night is made beautiful by your presence.

Beyond your beauty, your nature is lovely too. Everyone envies me for your love.

You whose place is within my ribs, I long to see you until my eyes have had their fill.

Do not deny the one tormented by longing, for you, my cherished love, are the cause of this sweet affliction.

Your love has never been lost within my heart, so long as it holds me in its embrace.

There is majesty in your appearance, filled with light and radiance. Even the moon turns away from me when you appear.

Every eye that sees you cannot help but follow you, even when you keep me at a distance.

I wish we could sail without a harbour or a sail, so that your hands would never leave mine.

There is no falsehood or deceit in our love story. You alone are the one who makes me happy.
